A writer of poetry and fiction at heart, I’ve also spent the last 11 years teaching composition courses to both ESL and domestic students at Utah State University (USU). Prior to my teaching career I graduated with a BA in English from Oakland University followed by an MA in Literature and Writing from USU and an MLIS degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. As an educator, I’ve made it my goal to help guide students through the many intricacies of communicating their ideas successfully not just in an academic setting but also out in the real world and to a diversity of audiences.

When not helping students further develop their academic writing and presentation skills, I have fun attempting to play music (guitar and bass) and attending concerts, though not as often as I’d like. I also spend as much time as possible outdoors. I especially enjoy snowboarding, camping, and hiking, and I hope to get back into sailing now that I’m back home near to so many lakes. I also travel every chance I get and I often return to Poland to visit family. Still, most of my favorite places in the world always end up being somewhere near water, any water, and all the seafood I can eat.
