Hello! I am a Madison native, and I studied at UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree. I completed my Master’s degree in English as a Second Language at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, then spent several years living in the Middle East, teaching English and studying Hebrew and Arabic. I have been teaching in the ESL program at UW since 2011 and I am filled with admiration for students who make the brave decision to study outside of their home countries. International friendships and relationships are very important to me, and when I’m not teaching at UW I’m often spending time in my role as a local coordinator for Ayusa, a nonprofit high school exchange program. My favorite part of teaching in the ESL program is the satisfaction of watching my students gain skills that they will be able to use for the rest of their studies, their careers, and their lives.
