Konnichiwa (Hello) everyone! I’m Reika(she/her), a master’s student in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, with a focus on Global Higher Education. I was born and raised in Chiba, Japan, which has a sister-state partnership with Wisconsin. During my undergraduate studies, I studied English Education (TESOL) and International Education in Japan. I have spent a significant amount of time teaching English and Japanese to a wide range of ages, from children to adults. I have completed student teaching internships in ESL classrooms both in Japan and the US, which made me passionate about assisting and empowering each student’s educational journey. I am excited to continue teaching, improve my skills, and enjoy learning with students!
Although I participated in a one-year exchange program in 2022 majoring in education at St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI, it is my first time going to Madison. If you have any recommendations in Madison, Wisconsin, or Midwest, I’d be happy to know 🙂
